SoftWave therapy

Heal faster. Stay healed.

SoftWave sends acoustic waves deep into injured tissue to improve blood flow and switch on the body’s own repair. Ten to fifteen minutes, no needles, no downtime. It’s often the thing that finally works for pain that rest and stretching haven’t fixed.

What it helps.

SoftWave is an FDA-cleared device. We use it most for tendon and soft-tissue pain that has hung around for months.

  • Plantar fasciitis and heel pain
  • Achilles tendon pain
  • Tennis and golfer’s elbow
  • Shoulder and rotator cuff pain
  • Knee pain, including arthritis
  • Hip pain
  • Low back and neck pain
  • Old injuries that never fully healed

What a session is like.

The visit

Ten to fifteen minutes

Gel on the skin, then the handpiece moves over the area. You can drive yourself home and get on with your day.

The feeling

A firm tapping

Most people describe a rubber band snapping lightly on the skin. We turn the intensity up or down to what you can tolerate.

The plan

Usually six to eight sessions

Many people notice a difference in the first one or two. Your doctor will tell you what to expect for your injury.

Before you book.

Does it hurt?

Some people feel a mild tapping, others some discomfort over the sore spot. We adjust the intensity to you, and it usually eases as the area heals.

Are there side effects?

Usually none. Some people have slight redness or soreness for a day or two. We suggest skipping high-impact exercise for 24 to 48 hours after a session.

Do I need to be a chiropractic patient?

No. SoftWave can be booked on its own. Start with a short discovery visit so we can check that it’s right for your injury.

Can I keep training?

In most cases, yes. We’ll tell you if anything should pause while the tissue heals.
